Funky Gumbo is an energetic and highly skilled five-piece group comprised of drums, bass, guitar, sax, trumpet and vocals. We are dedicated to performing what we feel is some of the most timeless and entertaining music ever written. Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Elvis, Wilson Pickett, The Meters, K.C. & The Sunshine Band, Average White Band, Kool & The Gang, Chicago, B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, The Allman Brothers, The Spin Doctors, Michael Jackson, and ZZ Top are just a few of the luminary artists and groups found within our repertoire.
But it doesn't end there. Funky Gumbo isn't you're typical band that focuses on one or maybe two styles of music. Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and a host of other jazz and swing greats are also found within our sets. With so many great songs available to us we are able to create a richly satisfying mix of music tailored to our customer's taste.
